Product Description

Level 1) Glycolic/35, Lactic/35, Salicylic/20

Level 2) Glycolac/60, Lactic/50 - Twice as strong as L1

Level 3) Glycolic/50, Lactic/70, BHA+, HQ+ - Twice as strong as L2

Choosing a Peel:

Glycolic: stimulates collagen growth more effectively than any of the other peels. It's small molecule allows it to slip beneath the epidermis to reach the collagen fibers below and results in 15%-25%  thickening over 12 weeks. Glycolic acid generally causes little or no visible peeling.

Lactic: works on the surface of the skin to treat tone, texture, and pigmentation. The Lactic acid molecule works to pull moisture into the cells, and exfoliate surface cells which helps to perfect the skin's surface and restore the skin's natural glow.

Glycolac: With a combination of Glycolic (25%) with Lactic (35%), it provides hydration and tone improvements of the Lactic, with the increased collagen stimulation of the glycolic. It is generally well tolerated because the lactic and glycolic work on different levels or the skin.

Salicylic: a great kertolytic which means it helps loosen the bonds between skin cells to promote exfoliating. It is the only hydroxy acid which is oil soluble which allows it to penetrate into clogged pores. It can be used more frequently than the other peels without must risk for irritation.

BHA+: Hands down the best peel for acne and oily skin. You should expect some visible flaking of the skin 2 days after using the peel. This will help with active acne blemishes as well as old acne marks, and a variety of other skin problems.

HQ+: This peel is best for pigmentation and acne scarring. Similar to our BHA+ peel, with added ingredients which to help to fade pigmentation differences and even skin tone. If you suffer from old acne marks, age spots, or melasma, this peel will be the most effective in helping you.

4 out of 5 stars I like it but....   March 1, 2010
Dawn (USA)
I bought this after reading so many other reviews. So far I have used it four times.

The first three times I used it I could not tolerate the tingling, prickly (almost like glass in your face) sensations. I have very sensitive skin so prehapes that has something to do with why my tolerance was not very high. So only keeping it on for the first two minutes the first three times it didn't seem to do a lot. It did though leave a smoother feel to my skin and after the third time my pores looked a little smaller. I never itched afterwards but my checks and nose (Where my pores are the largest) almost seemed to toughen. After about a week they were soft again. It was not noticable by the human eye it just felt that way to me, by touch.

The fouth time I used it, the prickly sensation seemed much more tolerable therefore I left it on for 5 minutes. I can see a much better result and my skin itches a good bit. They say not to scratch or rub so I'm doing my best not to. But the skin around my nose where the pores seem to be very large, for my entire life but especially after giving birth, seemed to be almost completely gone now. The pores around my checks are considerably smaller and much finer looking so they are not noticable anymore and the toughness that I had before is not there this time. I also changed facial creams so I don't know if that has anything to do with it but in my opinon it does. The better results I really think are due to leaving it on longer.

In addition, I can SEE more smoothness on the rest of the skin on my face, including two very tiny spots, that were from sun damage, have been aletered. Only one shimmers a slight visual the other is compeltely gone. As for my very fine lines they are still there. But with the rest so far I'm fairly pleased.

I had one facial before that they used a chemical peel in a salon and the peel didn't tingle so much and it was left on for a good 15 minutes. The bad part about my peel is the girl was apparently ruff and due to that I had scabes on my face afterwards. I'm told that should never of happened.

Therefore, I'm very happy I found this product and will certainly continue to use it and maybe it will hit the fine lines soon. I will keep my bottle after it is empty just in case I want to repurchase it but I most likely will look to try a different product.

5 out of 5 stars WHAT A PEEL!!   February 26, 2010
C. T. Kai (Singapore)
Used the peel four times and skin conditions have remarkedly improved. However the last peel has only slight improvement as skin has adapted to the acid. Will have to go for a 50-70% soln. Would advise anyone to purchase a 50-70% soln and dilute it to 35% as a start. It saves money too.

5 out of 5 stars It does what it's supposed to do!   February 11, 2010
Mary E. Copper (Tampa, Florida)
I am a retired skin care professional. Glycolic Acid peel is really best at stimulating cell renewal. It's excellent for older skin renewal that has become sluggish, thus tired wrinkled skin accumulates on the top. I used the product differently than directed. You want to get the product to penetrate the skin. I put it in my hand and massaged into my thoroughly cleansed face, being careful to avoid the eyes. Any left, I massaged into my hands to clean up old skin there. It takes weeks to finally see good results, but my skin does look smoother and younger. I also was able to remove several embedded blackheads with ease.

3 out of 5 stars Think it's working   January 31, 2010
Marilyn Rawls (Northern Maryland)
I've used the peel twice so this review may be premature. I am seeing an improvement in my skin tone. I am African American with very oil skin and hyperpigmentation left from using Proactive serveral years ago. My scars are primarily on my cheek & a few on my forehead. After meeting with an esthetician who suggested I spend $980 on Obagi & an additional $500 on chemical peels, I thought I'd try this peel first. I also purchased the Salicylic peel which I have not tried yet, and Kiss My Face Pore Shrink which I've tried and LOVE. I did not experience a lot of stinging, I left on my face for no more than 2 minutes. I put Coconut Oil on my eyebrows & around my eyes & mouth, as a protectant. I applied with a Q-tip, this seemed easier than using a cotton pad. I washed with baking soda to deactive the acid. I will write another review after I've completed the series (using 6 times) but right now, I am very pleased.
