Best Toe Nail Clipper I've Ever Used August 26, 2010 Monkey Honestly, there isn't much that I can say that hasn't already been said, but yet I feel the need to add yet more glowing praise for these clippers. My toe nails are really thick, requiring I squeeze crappy drug store clippers with all my might only to barely get a cut. That seemed almost dangerous, as if my hands slipped while squeezing that hard I could easily tear a nail.
I decided it was time to pony up for some good clippers, and these really deliver. They cut straight though my nails, requiring only a fraction of the force of a standard clipper.
They feel solid when held in your hands, and seem like a product which should last. When you consider what you get for the price, these don't feel like these are 'overpriced' clippers at all. You pay a little more to get something which actually does the job really well, instead of a poor product which was made only to be as cheap as possible with performance as a distant secondary concern.
Best Toe nail clippers August 17, 2010 A. Hall (Broken Arrow, OK USA) Yes, I've owned Tweezerman toenail clippers, and YES, these are better. There are a few reasons WHY these are better, they are sharper for one, also they have a built in grip. It makes it easier to cut your toe nails. Seriously high quality nail clippers.
Finally, a clipper worth keeping August 10, 2010 D. Lee (Jersey City, NJ) Think about it, cutting your toe/finger nail is a LIFE TIME process, that is to say, there's no way you can skip this task until your death so it makes sense to get a really good clipper. I purchased this clipper based on the recommendation of other Amazon buyers and have been happily clipping away for a year now. Simply put, this is one of the finest clipper you can get for a reasonable amount of money. If feels solid, performs superbly, and clips like day one even after a year of use. "Made in Japan" which means quality is virtually assured.
Nice clean cuts, which can be a problem July 18, 2010 Jodawi (Seattle, WA USA) Makes nice clean cuts, which means sharp edges at the top and bottom of the nail. Also, if used for fingers there isn't a strong curve, so you have to make multiple cuts, risking having sharp points where two cuts meet. So you'll want a file of some sort, which isn't included in the clipper. Also not included is anything to catch the clippings.
Best Nail Clippers Ever July 7, 2010 college mom I have always been disappointed with drug store nail clippers. Even if they work well at first, eventually they do a poor job of cutting nails cleanly. A few years ago, I found a pair of very expensive nail clippers made by a German knife company, and they became my prized possession. Then my kids lost them. I have been looking for a replacement ever since. And now I have found something even better--the Seki Edge nail clippers. Every household should have several of these!! And, the price is reasonable, when you consider that you will have these 10x as long as the drug store clippers. Small things like this can make your life so much easier. Indulge yourself.
